Modern astronomy was birthed in the Middle East and the region's love for the stars has been present since the bedouin days. So, when we tapped into a story about an astronomer and his kid, we tapped into a loved subject by most locals in the region. The film was all shot with a hand-held camera. No rigs, no cranes, nothing.  Just a director of photography/director and his camera, giving the film an intimate feel and exploring the "fly on the wall" type of film-making. Since the cast were real people and the story was real, we had to resort to a technique that made them comfortable and transmitted the intimacy between father and son.
